The Town of Erie is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Qualified candidates must have valid driver’s license, be POST certified, have a High School Diploma or GED and be able to pass a written test, physical agility exercise and thorough background check. SEASONAL PARKS MAINTENANCE TECH

 We are currently accepting applications for temporary park maintenance employees to care for and maintain town-owned parks, athletic fields, open space and irrigation systems.  Temporary positions are available for up to 40 hours per week.  Individuals selected for employment must be available for work between August and November, 2010, with the potential of some staff being retained as needed during winter snow removal events.  Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License and be able to work flexible hours, which may include early morning and/or late afternoon/evening shifts, as well as weekends.  Starting pay is $9.84 per hour, DOQ.  Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.  

 

CLIMBING INSTRUCTOR

We are currently accepting applications for Climbing Instructors.  You will be responsible for teaching the basic concepts of climbing, belaying and knot tying. Individuals interested in the position must be able to deliver exceptional guest service, be able to communicate and demonstrate the applications of Climbing. Applicants must be 18 years of age, have current CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Starting pay rate is $15.19 per hour.  Accepting applications until position is filled. 

  

CLIMBING ATTENDANTS

The Town of Erie is also hiring Climbing Attendants to supervise climbing wall activities, belay for climbers, and work birthday parties.   Knowledge of proper belay techniques, knot tying and general climbing skills are required. Must be willing to work Saturday and Sunday afternoons and occasionally week night evenings.  Applicants must be at least 16 years old.  Must have a current CPR/AED and First Aid certification or have the ability to obtain certification prior to working.  Starting pay rate is $10.58 per hour.
