American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day® – Saturday, June 1, 2013
Join other Erie outdoor enthusiasts! Erie Parks & Recreation staff invites you to make a difference by enhancing and celebrating the natural places in Erie that promote healthy living and mental well-being and that instill excitement for the outdoors! Participants of all ages are welcome.

Volunteers will help improve the trail and open space at Thomas Reservoir by removing weeds and trash from the trail and surrounding open space, mulching trees and shrubs, and adding crusher fines to uneven sections of the approximately 0.75 mile trail surrounding the reservoir. The Town’s Parks Division will provide necessary tools and equipment. Volunteers should bring their own gloves and wear appropriate clothing, shoes and sun protection.

Interested volunteers should meet at Thomas Reservoir by 8:45 am for an organizational/safety briefing.

Work will commence at 9:00 am and conclude by noon.
