How long are the terms for Mayor and Trustees?
The Mayor serves a two-year term and the six Trustees serve staggered four-year terms. The Town of Erie conducts its regular municipal election in April of even-numbered years. During regular municipal elections, registered voters elect a Mayor to serve a two-year term, and three Trustees to serve four-year terms.

Can I address the Board during Board of Trustees meetings?
Yes. Public comment during regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meetings is limited to three minutes per person. This public comment agenda item provides the public an opportunity to discuss items that are not on the agenda. The Board of Trustees is not prepared to decide on matters brought up at this time, but if warranted, will place them on a future agendas.
