Utility Billing
What is the average payment amount for a monthly utility bill?
The average utility bill for residential accounts is $128.14. This includes a charge of $56.68 for wastewater, which is a winter average of 5,000 gallons, a fixed $5.00 drainage fee, and a water charge of $66.46, which is an average usage of 10,000 gallons. Remember that the water charge is based on actual usage so this amount may fluctuant on a monthly basis. In addition, the wastewater rate is determined by the winter average, which is the water usage for December, January, and February. See the water and wastewater rate schedules for additional water and wastewater charge calculations. We apply a one percent (1%) penalty to all accounts which are not paid in full by the billing due date.
