Waterline Extension near
Vista Parkway

This week a Town of Erie Contractor, has begun construction of the Zone 3 Waterline Extension.  This waterline extension project is the first phase of a project that will eventually connect the Water Treatment Plant to the Zone 3 Storage Tanks that are located northeast of Vista Ridge.  Weather permitting, construction should be completed late fall of this year.

The new waterline will make connections in various locations including in the area of Vista Parkway and County Line Road, the open space area between Vista Pointe and Vista Pointe Estates, on the east side of Vista Parkway near Vista Ridge and it will connect to an existing waterline on Cessna Drive.

This construction project will require intermittent closure of Coal Creek Trail and the spine trails that lead to Coal Creek Trail in these areas.  Detour signs will be provided to guide the public through a temporary trail and residential streets in Vista Pointe and back onto the trail. View detour route maps here.

Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to construction signs, stay clear of construction equipment and vehicles, and if possible, avoid the construction area during work hours.
