Erie Parkway Expansion Improvements
Extended Work Hours
Beginning the week of July 18, 2016, the contractor working on Erie Parkway expansion improvements from Bonanza Drive to Weld County Road 5 as part of the Colliers Hill and Erie Highlands development construction will be implementing extended work hours for lane closures. For up to two weeks, lane closures on Erie Parkway may be implemented between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The extended hours for lane closures are necessary to expedite the installation of a large drainage culvert prior to the start of the school year for Erie High School.
Significant delays may occur during the afternoon rush hour and alternate routes are strongly recommended. Traffic control signage, delineators and flaggers will be on site to enable motorists to move through the construction area in a timely and safe manner. Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to detour and traffic control signs, and flaggers. Please reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area.
