In the next few weeks the new waterline connection project near County Line Road and Vista Parkway will be complete. This new line will provide increased flow and reliability to a key portion of the Town’s water system.
During the week of November 13th, the new waterline will be placed into operation. During this time customers in the Vista Ridge, Vista Point and the Erie Airpark areas may experience discolored or cloudy water due to the change in water system flow patterns. To help reduce these issues, the Town of Erie Public Works staff will be flushing water from some fire hydrants in this area. Customers who notice any discoloration issues in their home are suggested to run faucets and showers for up to ten minutes, starting at the lower level of the house and moving upwards. Customers should not experience any interruption of service or changes to water pressure.
The Town of Erie Department of Public Works would like to assure the public that though they may notice brief changes in the appearance of their water, the water continues to meet State water quality requirements and remains safe to drink.
